Founded in 1921, J&M Brown is building on its more than 90-year track record of delivering on its promise of excellence in electrical construction. During the early development of Greater Boston’s Route 128 industrial and technology belt, many of the prominent facilities on what later became America’s Technology Highway were powered by J&M Brown’s expertise, including Raytheon, Polaroid, and the Coca Cola Bottling Plant.

The global pandemic caused by COVID-19 shuts does construction in Boston for two months. After reopening job sites with new safety protocols, J&M Brown goes back to work at 1 Congress, the BEAT, Parcel G in Cambridge and dozens of other sites.
Boston goes lab crazy and becomes the main city for the life science and biotech industry. Sanofi’s 501,000 sq/ft new lab spotlights J&M Brown’s life sciences portfolio. Additionally, J&M Brown delivers State Street’s 510,000 sq/ft new global headquarters, a new 360,000 sq/ft Amazon office (16 floors in 10 months) and Morgan Stanley’s renovated office space. The Post-COVID19 pandemic leads to supply chain disruptions, but J&M Brown continues to work with their clients to persevere.
Brockton Hospital has a catastrophic fire and is shutdown. J&M Brown jumps into action to help get the hospital reopened (and rewired) to help support the local community.
