Deja Vu! This is J&M Brown’s second time building out the MIT museum and we were happy to be part of the team again. The new location occupies the first 3 floors of a new building in the heart of Kendall Square. Galleries, workshops, offices and interconnecting stairwells comprise most the modernly-designed museum. J&M Brown performed all the electrical construction including lighting, lighting controls, distribution, solid-bottom cable tray, power and fire alarm.
Highlights:
- Design-assisted AV conduit routing
- 6-months of 3D BIM prior to start
- Installed roughly 1000′ of Litelab track lights
