J&M Brown was the electrical contractor for a new lab space in MIT’s Building 4. J&M Brown demoed the existing lab and installed all new electrical systems including a Simplex 4100 Node, overhead wiremold and all the lab equipment connections (fume hoods, ceiling utility panels, etc.). Per MIT standards, all wiring was done in EMT. J&M Brown worked across multiple buildings and two penthouses to bring new feeders for the distribution panels and power for the new HVAC equipment.
Highlights:
- New 400′ parallel feeders across rooftops for existing generator
- Electrical construction of a Clean Room
- Bringing an old service elevator back online
- Running a new 600A feeder through 3 existing building into new lab space
