Aggressive 4-month project entailed demolition of existing intensive care units and electrical construction of new intensive care units on BWH Hospital Tower’s 3rd floor.
Reconstruction of hospital’s entire 2nd floor, preceded by demolition of existing floor. Demolition and renovation of an adjacent 2-story facility.
Demanding fast-track project entailed comprehensive upgrade to emergency power system: installation of 800kW emergency generator on facility’s roof; 7 new automatic transfer switches, ranging from 225A to 800A; new 2000A switchboard with ground fault protection.
A state-of-the-art facility right in the heart of the Longwood Medical area containing more than 400,000 sq/ft of laboratory, office and clinical space. Longwood Medical Center scales 11 stories high with an additional 3-level parking garage underneath. J & M Brown was responsible for core and shell and installed a complete electrical distribution system, emergency electrical distribution system and fire alarm system.
Multi-phase, 4-year project included the replacement/retrofit of fire alarm systems in all six buildings of medical campus.
