Scope: This project was the rejuvenation of the old Boston Globe headquarters at 135 Morrissey Blvd in Boston. Redesigned to be suited for lab research and development, manufacturing and industrial usage, J&M Brown was the electrical contractor chosen for the project. Dubbed “The Boston Exchange for Accelerated Technology”, J&M Brown furnished and installed an Eversource substation and two 15KV substations for the building. Because of the building’s vast expanse three 480V electric rooms were built branching off from the substations. In addition to all the core and shell electrical work, J&M Brown’s low-voltage division, Spectrum Integrated Technologies, was responsible for the structed cabling, Tel/data and campus security system.
